Responsible for production database support for agile cm running on oracle. This is a production system that must be operational 24 x 7.
Responsible for production database support for a maximo system running on sqlserver 2000.
Database design for in-house written web applications porting from coldfusion to .net. Most new environments are running on sqlserver and .net.
Reconfigure backup and recovery of oracle and sql server databases and servers to utilize media manager backups using comquest. To date I have recovered over 2 terabytes of hard drive space from theses operations.

Build master responsible for all production updates. Database websites and all other applications.

IIS and coldfussion setup and administration.

Directs and performs all activities related to maintaining the M2 clients and internal databases relating to new implementation and legacy system upgrades. Systems testing and storage requirements. Designated by President of M2 Systems to establish policies and procedures pertaining to the management, security maintenance and use of databases.
Trained new employees and interns in the use of company technology and internal processes.
Continually, staying abreast of emerging technologies and new design approaches and applying internally to provide cost effectiveness and security.
Provide 24 x 7 support to internal and external M2 clients solving issues by troubleshooting and analyzing each situation.
Perform daily Tivoli storage manager Administrator duties to ensure all information processed through M2 systems and databases are efficient. Responsible for backup and recovery plan design for M2 networks and the HIPAA, Blue Cross-and Blue Shields of America programs and adjudication systems.
Redesigned of and internal archive process that enables large amounts of data in the internal M2 databases to aged out for storage offsite. This saves storage space and increases system performance.
Provide client support in the following technologies:
Database installs remote and onsite. SQL tuning, Performance tuning, Backup and recovery recommendations using RMAN and media managers Tivoli, Netbackup etc... UNIX installation and troubleshooting, Installation of our application.
Responsible for Production databases over 500 gig in size in our ASP environment.
Administration of a wide variety of Unix platforms to include HPUX, AIX, Solaris, Linux, BSD, DG-UNIX, VMS and tandem platforms.
Shell scripting for various projects.
Responsible for insulation of Operating systems software on these platforms. This is to include setup of clusters and HACMP environments.

Technical Analyst. Server Technology's (Extended Business Critical Team) Responsible for all issues on RDBMS working production databases that are down. Specialized in recovery manager.
Provide technical support to worldwide customer base for the Oracle RDBMS (7.3.x, 8.0.x, and 8i) on Windows NT and Novell NetWare and Unix Platforms. Support functions include but are not limited to the following:
Disaster Recovery. Recovery from Block, Datafile, and Rollback Segment Corruption.
Utility Functionality including SQL*Loader, Export/Import, OEM

I have been doing database administration and UNIX contracting since 1997. For the last several years I have been mostly doing oracle and sqlserver administration. Theses duties include system setup, installation, tuning, and storage recommendations. I specialize in disaster recovery processes.
Currently I am responsible for several production systems. These systems support lunch operations at cape canerval air force station.
